Woke up, went to computer. Should be sleeping.
Dazed and Confused
Its day 5 of rehearsals tonight, and already I am feeling the effects. This morning I can barely read the words on the computer screen as I try and get ready for the work day ahead.
The play is coming along, slowly, as we block out the scenes and tonight they will finally start learning the music. I am exhausted already, and have been getting little sleep to boot. Tomorrow night uis my only time I will be able to be home in a week and just not do ANYTHING.
All the days are running together as I struggle to find time for play rehearsal , Ren faire rehearsals, and my own things to do. So if I don’t post much until October, hang in there.
Ya Lose Some, Ya Lose Some More
Many ready this blog know that I started out, like many people, as a solid Republican in support of the war on terror. Well, I still support the war on terror, just not the war in Iraq. There was a funny “if FDR was GWB” video circulating that had a it in it about a country attacking the US so let’s proclaim war on a totally unrelated country…
Anyway…
Scouring today’s headlines, I saw this:
The Pentagon has lost track of about 190,000 AK-47 assault rifles and pistols given to Iraqi security forces in 2004 and 2005, according to a new government report, raising fears that some of those weapons have fallen into the hands of insurgents fighting U.S. forces in Iraq.
190 – THOUSAND.
oy.
Sense of Humor?
At the Ames Community Theater, we have been trying to get street signs put up to let people know where the theater is. Some say we are the best kept secret in Ames. So after almost 52 years in existence, 25 being at the same building, we finally got the street signs, and on my birthday no less.
Unfortunately, as you can tell by the photo, something is not quite… right on the sign.
Bonus points for you if you can figure it out without emailing me.
The question is…. NOW WHAT?!
