A Place For Everything
One of the challenges in living in an apartment of any size is the lack of storage space. I have helped someone clean their house, and their basement is literally filled with 100 or so “tubs” of stuff they put in them just to get them out of the other rooms. No such luxury in most apartments. I do have 3 “tubs” all but one are empty, and they are stuck in the closet.
I have computer and electronics stuff in the linen clost, sheets and linens in the laundry “room” shelves, old Boy Scout badges in mini-tubs in the kitchen cabinets, camping gear in the kitchen drawer, 3 ring binders in the linen closet, video tapes in the laundry room cabionet (just the right size), tools in just about every closet and drawer, paper and stationery in the bedroom closet, etc. etc.
Tonight I went through and cleaned up a lot, and threw out a lot. The linen closet is almost reclaimed for its intended purpose. I threw away a bunch of videotapes since I never record anything anyway. I also threw away a bunch of “mailing supplies” such as priority mail cardboard mailers and sizes of padded mailers I bought but never used. I threw all of the computer misc. parts into one foot locker, and reclaimed my kitchen cabinets.
I still have a lot to do, but its getting there.
