Done Baking … time to relax

I went home from work at 11:30 to take a break before opening night of the play. Now, I am HARDLY a major character in this production (by choice) so it’s not like my performance will make or break the show… but rehearsing every night till almost 11… well, see my previous post.

So I got back to town around noon, went to the grocery store and bought ingredients for my famous hot onion dip. (yum!) and came home. I started the dryer to dry some clothes that had been sitting in the washer since about Tuesday (I know.. I know..) and then started a load of whites with bleach. While this was going on, I heated up a frozen pizza (Hey Im allowed one “bad” day!) and started chopping up onions in my little food processor.

Normally I make 1 “batch” of this onion dip and take it to the party. Well, this is a large cast (30+ people, of which 20+ are between 14-20 years-old. ) so I decided to make not one… not two.. but three batches. Yikes. So I have been mercilessly chopping onions all afternoon and baking a giant pot of onion dip for the cast party tonight. I also bought 4 boxes of wheatables to go with it.

I just hope it all gets eaten, because it would NOT go well with the diet. Think cream cheese, mayonnaise, parmesan cheese, and tons of onions. NOT low-fat.

So now, the load of whites is in the dryer, and I think I can finally “relax.”

So until tomorrow… latta!
