And another commodore goes to the garbage
I am finally getting around to fully testing the plethora of commodores I aquired last year. Already I have determined the Vic 20 does not work, and today one of the Commodore 64’s I plugged in had no sound, so I opened it up and the SID chip was gone. (They are valuable commodoties, believe it or not)
I do have an extra SID chip from one of the other broken commodores, but I am just going to toss it without pulling the chips or anything. So that leaves 3 or 4 I think. Unfortunately my main reason for hooking them up this weekend was to get a sound program working, and the disk I thought it was on is nowhere to be found. So its off to search the Internet again. Wheee

It’s good to sort the good from the bad and to get rid of the bad.
Similarly, I’ve spent the day getting software installed on an old iMac so I can use it as an audiobox to pump playlists into my stereo.
