Why I Hate Dell
1) They call you continously if you are even 1 day late
2) They outsource their calls to India
3) They raise their rates every month until it is 30%
4) They “lose” your payment that pays off your account in full, just to charge you another month’s interest while you have to sort it out.
5) Their computers are cheap and un-upgradable
6) See #3 and #4

In other news, my typekey validation always seems to fail when I try to reply here…

I will totally agree with #5. When we unpacked the Dells we bought summer ‘05, I was ticked off at the cheap-o plastic cases that barely stay closed. I was almost accidentally opening them, just to move them from the box to the table. Not to mention the sideways optical drives… And the keyboards that feel like you are going to break it by typing normally… I was not happy at all. TG we bought extra ram pre-installed so I didn’t have to get into the case to do anything to them. I wish you the best of luck with getting the mess straightened out. I’ve not had to deal with the Dell India support line, but I’ve had many conversations with “Bob”, “Mary”, “Frank”, and “Charlie” from Quark, which also outsources and is EVIL.
