Handing in the Cards

Im uninstalling the poker games tonight. I had a terrible time at Wil Wheaton’s latest tournament. The week before last was fun, but this last week, there were some VERY rude comments being thrown around the room. I know it IS a poker tournament, but I honestly thought the kind of people who joined Wil’s tourney were of a different caliber. The week before, with Sparky, Chris, CJ etc al, was hellafun, but last week left a very bad taste in my mouth, and not just because I didn’t finish very well.

The chatter was just plain… wrong. Inappropriate to the nth degree. I know I can turn it off, but it still bothers me that the word is getting out about Wil’s tournaments and people I really don’t care to associate with are coming not to have a good time for Wil, but just to make it miserable for anyone else.

So, I logged in tonight and threw close to $76 down the drain, because after playing with someone for about 20 minutes, her style of play was VERY aggrivating. There is no reason to bully the pot in a 50c/1 game. So I went to the 2/4 and just threw it all away. I know I could have withdrawn it, but I guess I wanted to punish myself for spending so much goddamn time on something so stupid. So, if my will power doesn’t give out. Bye bye poker.
