Wil Says Im Weird
In what could either be a compliment or a devastating blow to my self-confidence, Wil Himself has called me… weird. Now, this comes almost a year when he said I was “cool” [see Hot Heads Under Silent Wigs] - so I’m not quite sure what to think.
And not only am I called weird, but on TWO of his blogs
WWdN in Exile and his Card Squad blog.
5:34 PM - wwdnposse just got moved to my table. His avatar is the image from “Wil has a posse.” That is too weird.
I started the wwdnposse name a few months ago when I joined PS as a kind of a joke, I guess it backfired. Not that what Wil thinks of me is Teh Important thing in the universe, but I was really starting to have fun in the tourneys and on PS, and was getting better. But if all I am going to do is make him cringe if I make his table, its no longer funny but embarassing.
Sigh.
I guess it explains why my last few emails weren’t returned. I even sent him a copy of my book as a way to say thanks for getting me starting on PokerStars, never heard anything. Maybe it’s time to join someplace like Empirepoker, I dunno. It was fun finding out ThePokerGeek was Chris from Cedar Rapids, and everybody at the tables was a lot of fun… I’d hate to have to reintroduce myself to a whole mob of new people at another poker site.
I know what you are thinking, life is hard, eh. Sigh. It’s just when I finally felt like PART of the group, now I feel like Im the one the group lets in just to make fun of.
I think I’ll just go sulk in the corner.

UPDATE: Wil apologized on his blog, and to be honest I dunno why I took it so personally a few hours ago. Kind of stupid - must be the time of the year. Now I feel bad for feeling bad. Bah. Truth is I am having a blast playing poker both with the WWdN peeps and the other people over at PokerStars. Must be because I didnt bust through my last deposit the same day like I normally do.
