Yes, Its another Wil Wheaton Poker Blog Entry
So tonight I buzzed home and deposited more chips in my PokerStars account so I could participate in Wil Wheatons semi-private tournament. I ended up at a table with Wil, where he was a little scared to see one of his likenesses staring back at him. He went out a few hands later thanks to Up4Poker (CJ) and I went out a few hands later … also by Up4Poker at position 48 out of 152 entries.
It was a lot of fun, even moreso than the Katrina tournaments a few weeks ago. That tourney was full of sitters, but it was for a good cause.
I dont quite know what to think of my playing tonight. On the one hand, I was damn good to get as far as I did, but on the other hand… I made some stupid mistakes. Getting better I suppose. I hope to have a blog entry with a link to a friend of mine who just won big in Venezuela…
—update–
Turns out I was also playing with Chris, whom you might remember me blogging about some months ago when I took a Road Trip to Cedar Rapids to find the location in his film, “The Formula.” [Pictures Here] Geez, I kind of had a guess it was him through his Iowa Hawkeyes and Star Wars fan film references… but what are the odds?
Anyway, good to finally “meet” you Chris - was fun!
