Woke up this morning to a nice surprise, my Alexa rank increased to 691,714.
However overall traffic is almost in half, dunno what that is all about, especially since I have been blogging MORE. Oh well.

Ok, before I go any further, just typing that sentence had me thinking of Huey Lewis & The News’s “I Want a New Drug…”
I want a new blog
One that looks like it should
I want a new a new blog that looks real cool
Not one that mkaes the fool.
I want a new blog to make me happy,
I want a new blog that makes me sing!
One that makes me like Im blogging just for youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu.
I want a newwwwwwwwwwwwwwww blog!
la la la.
Ok, but seriously, I am rather sick of the default movable type template, and I have seen some very good blogs recently, I just don’t want to simply copy them. You would think being a web designer/programmer extraordinaire that designing a blog template wouldnt be that big of a deal, but it is. I want something professional yet fun.
Sigh.
One more thing to think about.
Alexa Numbers

I have been feeling rather depressed lately when I compare my Feedburner numbers below to those of some of my blog idols. Somedays my Feedburner says 1, somedays it says zero. I think one day it said 2. Woot!
It’s not that I want my blog to become “teh uber blog” – I just would like some kind of satisfaction that people find it interesting. I know I have friends checking out the blog which in some ways is the purpose of a blog, isn’t it?
So I have found myself checking my Alexa results lately, and yes, I broke the one million mark, but I keep wondering what am I doing wrong? Am I really not that interesting? Perhaps. Perhaps Im not controversial enough? Maybe. Perhaps blogs arent supposed to be read by millions of people who don’t know you? That could be too.
Anyway, I submitted my site to Yahoo! directory a week ago, so hopefully I will get in there sometime this century. If you have a blog and would be able to add a link over here, I would appreciate it. Im trying to figure out a better way to do my own links section, between personal bookmarks, other blogs, and reciprocal links, it gets confusing fast.
