Poker Tournament for Katrina Relief

Last night’s Poker Tourney over a PokerStars.com (hosted by author Wil Wheaton) raised over $22,000 for those in the Gulf Coast. This was a $5 buy-in tourney with $4.99 going to the relief effort. Each donation was matched 100% by PokerStars.com which brought the amount to the $22,000 figure.

Hurricane Katrina Poker Tourney / News

In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, Wil Wheaton has teamed together with PokerStars.com to do several charity tournament events with not only the majority of the funds (all but a penny) going straight to hurricane relief, but they are also MATCHING every buy in.
