Chris MoneyMaker’s World Poker Championship Review
While waiting for the World Series of Poker PC game to come out, I decided to try Chris Moneymaker’s World Poker Championship from ValueSoft and of course Moneymaker Gaming. I am not, by any means, a Hold Em novice, however I do consistently lose money on PokerStars.com, mainly because I get too greedy and sure of my odds and then whammo! So I decided to pick up the game so I can spend $20 and thats ALL, and maybe it would curb my real, online poker habits.
The game itself is nothing extraordinary, however better than the one I previously reviewed. The character builder is kind of a joke, and the feature of being able to play in nine different casinos is also misleading, because the poker tables themselves all look the same.
Once you start, it is a good idea to turn on the quick play option so it doesn’t take an eternity for the other toons to play their hands and their animations. Once you get going, you will spend all of your time looking at your cards and the river, and hardly any looking at the top half of the screen.
Gameplay is good, graphics are average. I think I will still try World Series of Poker though, look for a review coming soon.
