Cats in Windows

I went walking tonight down my usual route. For those who have read my blog in the past where I was so “in to” exercising and walking and eating right - well, it went to hell after the first week of July. My 2 weeks of walking every night were interrupted by 4 days of rain, so the walking stopped.

With a break in the play, I started walking again Monday, only now it seems like it is just before or during sunset. It is nice to be able to go outside and walk across town in the dark without fear of being attacked like I used to feel in LA just getting from my Car to Astro Burger.

One of the things that always brings a smile to my face as I walk at this time are the number of cats perched carefully on their carpeted cat-trees or balanced somehow on the very edge of the window sill. They keep a keen eye on everything that is happening on the other side of the window screen, and watch me intently as I walk by eventually escaping their view.
