Riff-Raff, Call-Back, I Don’t Buy That…

Well, the call-back on Wednesday could have done better. I really thought I could pull off the role of El Gallo, but it just wasn’t to be. However, I did get a part in the musical - that of Bellomy, the girl’s father. One of the wonderful lines from one of the songs has to do with pouring jam on a cat. Why would they do that? Because we said no!

Anyway, so yeah - should be fun. And in reality it is a bit of pressure release. Being the lead/narrator in my first musical/play in over 12 years would have no doubt produced nightmares about forgetting my lines and so forth. And I have had enough of those over the years to last a lifetime!

So my nights and weekends are pretty much shot until October. But I can’t wait to get started. We have the first table read on Monday night, so we will get our script books etc etc then. Then I will REALLY know what I’ve gotten myself into. :)
