Wil Exclusively Wins at Hold Em

Those signing on to the PokerStars client or visit the Team Pokerstars site will notice a new (but familiar) face on the site, that of author and poker enthusiast Wil Wheaton. Wil is no stranger to the blog entries here, mostly because of his writing and poker playing, and less on account of his tenure on Star Trek: The Next Generation. Sunday, Wil faced the weekly winner, “Exclusive” and came out ahead after the battle.

Having played some Hold Em over the last few days, I give full credit to Wil to be able to come out ahead. Real Hold Em is not for the anxious or for the fast buck. Most of the time you fold your cards hoping for that one good hand to come around.

but it may never come.

But it might…

Egads.

Trying My Luck Again

Those following the happenings going on the blogosphere will have noticed I haven’t written too much on my Pokerstats.com diubgs lately. This is a result of both a) not enough money and b) not enough time. Having a little bit more of both tonight, I plan on going back and trying a couple hours of holdem and see how it goes.

Those on pokerstars.com can find me under the name “wwdnposse”

Here are my all-time statistics…

733 hands played and saw flop:
– 42 times out of 86 while in small blind (48%)
– 68 times out of 93 while in big blind (73%)
– 161 times out of 554 in other positions (29%)
– a total of 271 times out of 733 (36%)

Pots won at showdown – 49 out of 140 (35%)

Pots won without showdown – 32

Update: Came in even tonight after 2 hours.. not bad.

John Rutter Photos

In looking at my server log files, the search request of “Rutter Photos” spurred a flurry of activity over the last few weeks. For those not familiar, John Rutter is a photographer in California who is engaged in a court battle with Cameron Diaz regarding explicit photographs she posed for before she was famous.

For those coming here for those photos, sorry – I am no relation and can’t get you the photos you are looking for.

Rescanning Trip To Babylon 5

p>I started rescanning some of the photos from my first trip to the set of Babylon 5 in May of 1995. This was only a few months before being offered the job to produce the web site with Warner Bros. Online.

I actually liked that striped shirt…

I will be posting more photos as I get time. For your amusement.
